Young HPB and CWL/AB

John,

Thanks.

You talk about facts (below), and I tend to agree with facts.

Short term, you have varying market and marketing trends. OK.

At the same time, there are philosophical texts which are good at travelling across the vast sea of time.

Seneca's texts, for instance, are some 2,000 years old now and they still sell like potatoes.

Marcus Aurelius' "Meditations", also extremely ancient, sell even better. "Meditations" has three simultaneous prestigious editions for sale in Brazil right now, for example.

I think I see that Blavatsky, as an author, is "too young yet", but she is a promise for the future. One might have the chance to read HPB again, and better, in the next incarnation. Very much like we may have read other classics, like Tao Te King or the Upanishads, in our last.

It would be interesting to ask oneself: "Does this or that classic work look and feel familiar to me? Do those ideas sound already known?"

HPB the author is starting her career across time, but other authors can't swim too long in the sea. They keep to the shallow waters of short term.

If you compare the bibliographical evolution of HPB with that of Leadbeater and Annie Besant, you see that HPB "is making more success", more than one century after her death, than she did ever before.

It is not because of her. It is because of the Ones who helped her write.

But she is 'more alive now than ever before', in a way.

My view, of course, and a view open to dialogue.

Regards, Carlos.
