Bruce on the Coulombs &
that Coulomb Reprint by ETS

Bruce writes:

============================================================
And yet more than a century later there are theosophists who print the
letters of this clumsy swindler, Madame Coulomb, in the context that
there may actually be something to them. Strange.
============================================================

What Theosophists are you referring to?

WHERE have these "letters" been reprinted "more than a century later"?

Readers of the above statement by Bruce might want to also consider
the following information.

In 1995, the Edmonton Theosophical Society (who is also the publisher
of FOHAT; I believe Bruce is still the editor) REPRINTED the ENTIRE
112 pages of Madame Coulomb's "disgusting" (to use Carlos Aveline's
description) pamphlet.

This reprint includes ALL of these letters Bruce is referring to.

I believe FOHAT/ETS advertised the reprint for sell and I assume
ANYONE who was aware of this reprint could buy it.

It should also be noted that there are no publisher's
comments or notes appended to this ETS reproduction to
indicate to readers that this pamphlet contains "old
well-known falsehoods and proven lies" (again to use
Mr. Aveline's phraselogy).

Is the Edmonton Theosophical Society by publishing the whole
Coulomb book...are they guilty of "circulating false dollar
bills" (using Mr. Aveline's past phraseology & assertions) and of
delivering "poisons" (Aveline's word) without labelling them
correctly????

Remember that nowhere in this ETS Coulomb reprint is there a
warning that what is written is false or poisonous.

Now Bruce's previous argument on Theos-Talk is that well only maybe
20 research libraries got the Coulomb book, but the question still
remains:

HOW MANY outsiders, inquirers, and even new students to Theosophy may
encounter this Edmonton Theosophical Society reprint of the Coulomb
book in one of these libraries???

IF the Coulomb material is really "poisonous" (I'm here using Carlos
Aveline's word & assertion) then is the Edmonton Theosophical Society
ALSO helping to circulate such "counterfeit bills" and such "poisons"
to the patrons and library users at these library institutions????

In the above I'm using Mr. Aveline's "reasoning" as found in some of
his postings and articles.

Daniel
