Dr. Tillett & Esoteric Tradition

Friends,

Dr. Gregory deserves my respect, as he has shown the truth about Mr. C. W. Leadbeater.

Dr. Gregory has rendered a great service to the theosophical movement in helping theosophists understand Leadbeater' personality, his pseudo-clairvoyance and his ritualisms, for what they are.

At the same time, Dr. Gregory might consider in the future the possibility that not necessarily everything that is kept from the public opinion is always rotten, fake and not-authentic -- as the things and organizations he decribes in his book "The Elder Brother".

Each different case must be examined and analysed with care as in scientific procedures and investigations.

Confucius in "Analects", and Jesus (in the "New Testament") taught about the need for secrecy in esoteric teachings.

HPB wrote and taught about that. Pythagoras taught to a selected community people. The Greek and Roman ancient mysteries are widely respected. The masonic tradition cannot be said to be entirely bad at all times, ever. It got more severely infiltrated since 16th- 17th century.

Modern science has many a secret that cannot be published, either.

Nearly every modern medicine that you buy at a drug-store has a warning that it must be kept away from children. Other substances at home, as glasses etc., must be kept away from children, who also must not hear some conversations. Children must not drive cars.

And so on.

So secret is not always about selfishness, vanity and irresponsibility.

It is the motive that gives the actual meaning of actions.

Regards, Carlos.
