Duane on the Essence of It All

Duane,

I have to say that, to my view, these lines of yours point to the essence of the walk along the path:

"The mental plane we are taught in Theosophy has a number of different levels and you can always tell when someone in the group is operating on the higher sub-planes - Their thoughts shine forth like a beacon of Light in an otherwise fogging atmosphere. Theosophy is about principals and one of the key purposes of the intellect should be to interpret, qualify and step down these archetypal truths for the benefit of oneself and others in the group. If the intellect becomes too mired in detail at the expense of this greater Manasic light, time that could have been devoted to other more important things is lost. I understand the importance of getting the facts straight and bringing what appears to be some degree of justice or understanding to Theosohical history. (...)"

To that I would add that the very process of expanding the views in any group will inevitably create tension in the lower principles and sub-principles. That is part of the alchemy; and a part of it which can't be avoided, denied, or ignored, without harming the process. A nasty word forthat is 'probation'. We do have small initiations and small probations everyday.

As to any specific human process we want to talk about, it always has its specific 'historicity', its historical record or accumulated karma, and it takes some time for one who arrives to really understand all aspects of what's going on.

All your posting makes sense as coming from someone who appears to have appeared here recently and has a calm open mind ; many of your paragraphs open windows to a wider collective perception.

May you continue to share your views with us.

Regards, Carlos.

One must be careful not to perpetuate the very energy that created much of this controversy to begin with. "Energy follows thought" is a occult law where we actually can so
