Art & Theosophy

Online in "The Journal of San Diego
History" (Fall, 1980, Vol. 26, No. 4)
is a long article on the artist's community
within the Point Loma Theosophical Community.
There are some small images of Reginald
Machell's work and of classes held.
Machell's was the artist of the famous
"The Path" painting that used to appear
on the front of "Theosophical Path,"
(and still available from Theosophical
University Press)and was also an amazing
wood-carver with his chairs and and
wood screens, doors, etc. This is pretty
high on number of hits from "theosophy"
in yahoo's search engine, so of
interest to non-theosophists. A web
page on Machell I bet would get a lot
of hits, and also attract theosophical
interest.
