HPB, Jesus, Buddha, Apollonius

Dear Friends,
 
Referring to the great initiate Apollonius of Tyana,  HPB writes in “Isis Unveiled”:
 
“Like Buddha and Jesus, Apollonius was the uncompromising enemy of all outward show of piety, all display of useless religious ceremonies and hypocrisy.” (1)
 
Indeed, the  three of them were against bureaucratic priesthood   and did not want to create any rigid, top-down power structures.
