If you had questions, you never got real answers.

If you had questions, you never got real answers. If I asked
one of the European Secretaries (the heads of the local lodges)
about decisions, rules, polices etc, the only answer I usually got
as; "Made by the people in LA". How, when, way etc, was not easy to
find out. Sometime, they told, but this was always followed by; "But
don't tell anyone else".

Compare with Tillett's observations at:

I must say that for the most part this has ALSO been my experience
with MOST ULT associates that I have either talked or corresponded
with.

Now a few associates and a good number of ex-associates have been
much more forthcoming and have given other than "almost memorized"
versions.

I have been quite intrigued by this "phenomena" that has been
observed by Tillett and Ek.

And my observation has been that these associates seem to lapse into
what I would call ULTese - using almost the same phrases, etc. And
when you ask for clarification of some of these phrases and words,
you never get further explanations that you could actually understand
or pin down!!

Like a kind of doubletalk, doublespeak....
