Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, IMHO. The ML were written to the APS &
AOH and were personal correspondence and was not meant for public
consumption as stated in one of the letters. A lot of good came out of it.
APS published Esoteric Buddhism and it did a lot to publicise Theosophy in
the English speaking world. AOH was motivated to better the conditions in
India and he is called the Father of Indian National Congress which fought
for Indian Independence and all the progress that has taken place in India
in the last five decades can be directly traced to the Indian Independence.

As history have it, it was later published and some feel its great value
throwing light on a lot of issues and many others don't find any value.
