Missing Schools of Buddhism

I curious if anyone has done any studies on the existence of schools
that may have existed in Tibet that have any similarities to
Theosophy. The four major schools Nyingma, Galukpa, Sakyapa and Kagyu
differentiate greatly from what we would consider the traditional
Theosophy of HPB. Perhaps there were other schools in existence back
in the 19th Century that taught the "esoteric" buddhism. Any info?
