She gives me great comfort as I can relate to her dark night of the soul.

You write, "One has to respect her even more
knowing that she still continued with her work
and perhaps her life is a living example of
what it really means to be on the spiritual path,
alone and isolated, not only from society but
also from her higher self."

Oh, yes indeed. To work in the slums of Calcutta
for decades with no more reassurance than words
in a book, described and interpreted as faith.

In a Theosophical study class many years ago, a
gentleman stated he believed Mother Teresa to be
an indoctrinated Roman Catholic who was "buying
herself a stairway to heaven."

Failure to understand spiritual and occult processes
can lead us to opinions such as this.

How profound was her "dark night of the soul."

And as you say, she prevailed.

Perhaps enough said; other than "thank you."

Kind regards
Nigel
