Re: Theos-World Re: Does Shadow Self existence lead to Evil

Please correct me if I am wrong, but isn't our own Shadow Self a/c to Modern Psychology that part of us that has suppressed all traumatic events in our life, but still contributes to the personality that is shown to the world. A path to understanding our raisson detre is to clean out this shadow self, without self condemnation, but as an objective observer. Through acknowledgement we gain mastery or at least an understanding of where that negativity came from. To face our demons so to speak.

Those that chose not to look oneself clearly in the eye and see the full picture will defend their actions and will look for more and more selfish outcomes. Those actions that protect the "shadow self". Perhaps eventually, the shadow self becomes the dominant actor, and when this occurs it aligns themselves with other personalities operating through the shadow.

  Looking forward to some feedback.

Yes we are, all of us to some extent gullible and misguided but we
do from time to time have insights and do good deeds as well.

fairly balanced spiritual values and tolerance for others and these
writings no doubt have encouraged people to try and develop those
principles as well and brought some light into the world.

I have problems with this concept of "brothers of the shadow" it
smacks too much to me of "Satan and his demons", aren't we all a
mixture of good and bad and sometimes we are under "shadows" and
then sometimes more influenced by the "light", isn't paradox and
contradiction evident in all facets of life?

Cheers
Perry
