Cass, in the co-freemasonic lodge that John started, and in all masonic or co-freemasonic lodges, there are established hierarchies and degrees of achievement. In John's masonic world, 33rd degree is the highest achievement, sort of like being Pope.

John has a need to be the power, to be the titular head of things. It is his own personal needs and insecurities that drive him and have always driven him.

This is why he is not content to be just international vice-president, he must be president. Having said this however, I do not say that he could not carry out this highest of duties, the international presidency. He could and very well so. And his protege Betty Bland is doing is bidding with the personal letter she has sent to theosophists. For this she will receive her next blessing, bestowed upon her by her supreme master, John Algeo. What the blessing is, only she and he know. But blessings there will be. He personally installed Betty as president of the TS of America, even though we?supposedly voted for her. She is now repaying the favor and increasing her own measure.

That is how politics works, and how it will always work. There is no spirituality in politics.?But politics is how things get done?on our planet, isn't it? As for the vote, I intend to vote for the Theosophist, Rhada Burnier.

Seems pointless, what is the advantage of being a 33 degree Mason when HPB provided the ancient truths which HPB stated Freemasonry had lost? Thanks for your response

Cass, John Algeo broke away from LeDroit Humaine and started his own masonic lodge. It was the only way that he could get the 33rd degree [that is my own opinion]. This is the reason for the masonic emphasis. Many people at the USA headquarters are members of this? masonic lodge. In fact, it is an international masonic lodge, with members from around the theosophical world, including India.

Still can't find Rhada's letter. Interesting that the Freemasonry badge is part of JA's site.
