Thank you for your comment.  It is good for us to look for eternal things and not the temporary.  Presidency is temporary.  It does not lead to transformation.  Let us be transformed.  If we are transformed, leadership will be chosen by the Hierarchy and there would be no questioning.

When your livelyhood is at stake, what do you do? Shut up and toe the line.
This also extends beyond to others who expect and dispensed direct or
indirect favors from those in control at the top. Is that not how
organizations operate? Why should TS be different?

For last decade, I wondered why none of the employees or directors or
lecturers or National President or the officers have shown up on this or
other maillists. There seems to be an unwritten tradition that no one should
talk here. If you talk, there is going to be a price to pay. Law of
organizational cause and effect?

Does it do any good to theosophy or TS? Probably not in the long-run.

One of the good things that has happened in our discussions here is, now
there seems to be a world-wide audience and more information is coming out.
The second good thing that is going to have a long term impact will be due
to archiving of the messages here.

If a prospective member googled "TS Election", he/she will find such a large
number of hits, he/she will be in shock and awe of how elections are fought
in TS. One may even get the idea that Brotherhood is for preaching to
followers and other gullible members but not for practicing when elections
are concerned.

Certainly those TS members that live and work at the Wheaton headquarters
could tell you that. Many of them would be so out place in corporate America
that they continue to put up with the demands of that culture and politics
because to do otherwise would be imprudent for them. Being the head of such
workers is easy then. Toe the party line and shut up. Oh, and eat your
vegetables.; -)
