Re: Theos-World TS - Elvira Carbonell's Letter - Some Comments

Here is some interesting information.

The highest paid employee of TS in America, was visiting my Lodge some years
ago and was carrying his cell phone and out of curiosity I asked him for his
cell phone # and he would not give it to me. The implication was he did not
want to be called after formal office hours -- typical low level employee
mentality. When compared to how many dedicated theosophists worked long
hours for very little, I was able to appreciate the sacrifices of these
theosophists.

Generally the salary information of top paid employees are kept very secret
because of the wide disparity between that and those of other workers.
Unfortunately, there are Government requirements for reporting top salaries
of non profit organizations and these reports are in the public domain and
was available on the Internet. In those reports, one year, there was even
salary/compensation reported for Algeo which was not generally known to
members. Nothing wrong in paying good salaries. The question is
transparency.
