  Uh, I don't think totally dismantling the TS is supposed to be part of the program.? Gorby was, in the end, a bit of a disaster for the old USSR.

  Of course maybe next time they may go the Vatican one better and burn the ballots BEFORE the election.

  It reminds me of the old Russia where a bunch of old guys elected their
  party leader and nothing much was disclosed to the public about policy
  decisions, until Mikhail Gorbachev, a middle aged lawyer came along and
  dismantled the system and provided more tranparency. It is also possible
  that Olcott's lawyer background had something to do with his being selected
  to lead TS. Also, Gandhi was a lawyer. May be we need a Gorbachev clone to
  fix TS and bring in younger successors.
