Daniel,

I do not say that the complete Mahatma letter is a fake.

I just say that - to the best of my humble knowledge as a Blavatsky student
of two decades - that the Bismarck sentence sounds not true to me - without
having the opportunity to make a primary source autopsy here in my
unwillingly and illiterate exile.

I just regard it as my duty to speak this out to you and the other students
for the benefit of our cause.

In the past I have here and then found mistakes in HPB's or de Zirkoff's
texts and even in an unsigned memo of Elsie Benjamin with alleged words of
de Purucker that Hitler is a black magican (orthodox theosophists claim that
I am a black magician as Blavatsky, de Zirkoff or Purucker could have never
ever made the slightest error, because they have an occult standing).

Not that I get misunderstood: I have no agenda to defend all what Bismarck
or Hitler or else said or did (at least their real shortcomings, mistakes,
misdeeds).
But as a supporter of the middle way and a truth seeker I do also not accept
any stupid statement, even when it comes from a theosophical source. Gosh!

It is not surprizing to me that in the pre-war hysteria (c. 1890-1914)
leading (English, American) theosophists got into temptation to assure
themselves and their fellow-comrades that they are on the right (white) side
and the others (the Germans) were on the wrong side. This mindset is normal,
natural and human.
I would rather be more surprized if such attempts would have not happened
(and still happen)!!

But so far I have never found this anti German mindset with HPB, Judge,
Tingley or Purucker.
I have found it only with Besant and Leadbeater and now in your publication
of the Johnston TS.

But fake is fake - either if the motive is good or bad. Theosophists should
recognize their duty for future generations, when old mindsets have
forgotten and old mayas have ceased to exist.

I regard it as my duty to speak out in such cases as this - as I assume that
from the exoteric point of view an English or American Theosophist would
hardly be suspicious enough against such sentences which concur with his/her
exoteric daily life experience (mass media, hear-say or licensed history as
K.H. puts it - Five Years, p. 326).

And that is my point in regard of faked texts of H.P.B., K.H. or de
Purucker: The fakers thought it would never come out - because it sounds so
clear and convincing, but overlooked that maya and mindset can change.
That's the reason why HPB stressed the point to think in centuries and that
every generation of theosophists has the duty to interpret the texts anew
(but that does not allow German lodge Presidents to destroy all unique
documents, magazines, books etc. on that rationale, believing that each
generation must write the theosophical books anew).

Subject: Theos-World More on the KH Commentary Frank has referred to.....

In reference to the KH Commentary which can be found at:

http://blavatskyarchives.com/koothoomicommentaries.htm

and to which Frank has referred to in a previous posting
from earlier today, I submit the following ADDITIONAL comments:

In William Q. Judge's unpublished diary for late 1888
I have seen a transcript of much of this material and it is
attributed to Master KH.

Then consider the following:

7 or so months later in Judge's OWN Theosophical
magazine THE PATH, he as editor ALLOWS the lead article written by
Julia Keightley to give out to the public a good number of quotations
from this SAME KH material. The article attributes this material to
"the Master", "the Adept" and "an Oriental Adept."

Julia prefaces the quotations as follows:

"...let us read some remarks fron an Oriental Adept which came into
our possession many months ago...."

See the relevant pages of THE PATH at:

http://blavatskyarchives.com/pathjuly1889.htm

Some of this SAME material from the KH Commentary was ALSO used in
March 1891 in the following document.

AT MME. BLAVATSKY'S OWN DIRECTION, Mr. Judge started a periodical for
the American Esoteric School students titled: Suggestions and Aids.

In the March 1, 1891 issue of "S & A", one finds that one of
HPB's esoteric groups had written a paper titled:

THE SEVEN WORLDS.

See link below which shows the 2 relevant pages from this
particular "Suggestions and Aids":

http://blavatskyarchives.com/khmsssuggandaids.htm

The article "The Seven Worlds" starts at the bottom of page
343.

If you look on page 344 at what I have marked as line 15 you will
see the words: (MS. of a Teacher.) Line 1 (on page 343) which
is a diagram and lines 2-15 on page 344 have been quoted/paraphrased
from the KH manuscript or Commentary.

>From this S & A document, one can conclude that one of HPB's
esoteric groups was given a copy of the KH Commentary which was
credited in the paper as simply:

(MS. of a Teacher.)

This shows that the KH Commentary was being used even by
one of HPB's esoteric groups AS EARLY AS March 1891.

In other words, acknowledgement to this KH/Teacher Commentary or
manuscript was given in the esoteric periodical that Mr. Judge
started under the directions of HPB herself who was still alive at
this time.

ADDITIONAL material relating to the KH Commentary could be cited but
this is more than enough for now with my previous posting.
