If it were only that simple. 

Truth doesn't come in neat packages = where one teacher is always
right and the other, since he was wrong some of the time (or even
often) is therefor wrong ALL of the time. 

Leadbeater was clearly teaching stuff that was at the very least
trivial and at worst untrue when talking about the clothes the
Mahatmas wore and where they lived, occult chemistry etc. 

However, that does not invalidate those teachings of his that turned
out to be highly useful. Again - the chakras come to mind.
