Have you seen no one talks about the puny membership in many countries. They
all need to go and live in India to learn how lodges were able to build such
large membership. The current situation is driven by unconscious jealousy.
But the thing that is startling is the great secrecy with which the whole
plan was developed and sent to GC. No one has explained why they did not
take members into confidence and have an open discussion over several
months. Every answer I have seen is either like a form letter or beating
about the bushes without touching on the issues of secrecy and steep
declining membership lack of membership retention. Even in the USA, which
has the second largest membership, the decline and lack of retention is in a
very sad situation.
