Re: Right and wrong

Dear All

In light of the current discussion concerning knowledge
and putative "knowing", perhaps the following study
might be helpful in clarifying the term.

http://www.iep.utm.edu/e/epistemo.htm

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epistemology

Genuine knowledge and its process of discovery is far
from merely agreeing with revealed information.
It is also far from merely "gut instinct" or the oft
misused term "intuition."

Our thoroughly programmed minds and brain functioning,
from pre-birth through adolescence through much of our adult
lives, heavily conditions our perception of "knowledge."

So, what is knowledge, and what do we mean when we say "I know"?

Regards
Nigel
