Re: Theos-World Re: Right and wrong

The only thing I KNOW for sure is that I am going to die - unless I am the first black swan! I live in hope that one day - in some lifetime -I will KNOW through self awareness that I am spirit wrapped in matter. Up until that point of self revelation I place my bets on someone I respect and admire - as a truthful and honest person - such as HPB - Plato, etc Âwho had no reason to lie. Â

Cheers

Dear All

In light of the current discussion concerning knowledge
and putative "knowing", perhaps the following study
might be helpful in clarifying the term.

http://www.iep. utm.edu/e/ epistemo. htm

http://en.wikipedia .org/wiki/ Epistemology

Genuine knowledge and its process of discovery is far
from merely agreeing with revealed information.
It is also far from merely "gut instinct" or the oft
misused term "intuition."

Our thoroughly programmed minds and brain functioning,
from pre-birth through adolescence through much of our adult
lives, heavily conditions our perception of "knowledge."

So, what is knowledge, and what do we mean when we say "I know"?

Regards
Nigel
