TS - Public vs Private Disclosure

Public vs Private Disclosure

Two GC members, posted on Internet, their reports on the recent GC meeting
they attended. While many questions were raised on what they said, and we
are all waiting to hear from them, they should be congratulated as it is a
first step in transparency.

I just posted comments on the public silence of the rest of the GC members â
those attended and those represented by their proxies, even after the
passage of a month, which is a very long time in this day and age of
Internet.

What we fully do not know is if any of the GC members have privately
informed their members and I would not rule out this possibility. There is a
serious problem with private disclosure. Everyone is human with their
personal biases and possible self-interests and hence what info the may feed
to their trusting members may be inaccurate or biased.

Again, TS is not a secret organization. Its proceedings are not secret. If
the information GC members feed their members is in the public arena for
everyone to see, then any real or oversight misinformation will be detected
by members world-wide and corrected or explained.

Again, lack of transparency provides opportunity for trouble makers to hurt
TS and theosophy by providing inaccurate or deliberate misinformation.

Let us all keep tuned.
