Dear Adelaisie

Lovely to hear from you again.

You write, "Would you be so kind as to just list in terms of
root races, sub-races, and rounds where we are according to
HPB?"

As you can no doubt see from some of the recent posts, this
is a very complex field with no easy answer for sub-race and
even root race, but with significant implications. I don't believe
the answer concerning sub-race or root-race is as clear cut as
some would have us believe, in terms of the question you ask.

The initial question we need to ask is to which "we" are we
referring?

Madame Blavatsky writes, "Let the reader remember well that
which is said of the divisions of Root Races and the evolution of
Humanity in this work, and stated clearly and concisely in
Mr. Sinnett's `Esoteric Buddhism.'
There are seven ROUNDS in every manvantara; this one is
the Fourth, and we are in the Fifth Root-Race, at present.
Each Root-Race has seven sub-races. Each sub-race has, in
its turn, seven ramifications, which may be called Branch or
"Family" races. SD 2 p 435

>From this we can safely say that from Madame Blavatsky's
teachings we are in the fourth round and that "we" may be in the
fifth root race.

However the Mahatma KH writes, "?the highest people now
on earth (spiritually) belong to the first sub-race of the fifth
root Race, and those are the Aryan Asiatics; the highest race
(physical intellectuality) is the last sub-race of the fifth ?
yourselves the white conquerors. The majority of mankind belongs
to the seventh sub-race of the fourth Root race, ? the above
mentioned Chinamen and their off-shoots and branchlets (Malayans,
Mongolians, Tibetans, Javanese, etc., etc., etc.) and remnants
of other sub-races of the fourth ? and the seventh sub-race of
the third race. ML 93 b Chronology of George Linton and Virginia
Hanson.

So, in terms of sub-race and root-race, which "we" are we to
apply to each human being in question, the spiritual "we" or the
physical/intellectual "we"; the "Aryan" or Atlantean "we" or even
the Lemurian "we?"
With our current multi-cultural world, with its multitudinous
mixed-marriage offspring, how would we judge?

And Madame Blavatsky writes, ""It would only lead to hopeless
confusion if any attempt were made to give accurate dates to a
few; for the Races, Sub-Races, etc., etc., down to their smallest
ramifications, overlap and are entangled with each other until it is
nearly impossible to separate them."
SD 2 p 435

This point is significant as the races and sub-races overlap and
are considerably "entangled" making it "nearly impossible to
separate them."

So, from these few short extracts we can see that this issue is far
from clear, and is potentially fraught with error and worse, value
judgment.

Kind regards
Nigel
