Dear Daniel,

Thanks for asking the question about all the ingredients that went into baking the statement that "the WT project with K was genuine ... ." (and it failed)

Thank you also for warning me how you might view, or expect to get an answer to, that question, and how you might respond to the expected answer. 8^)

So, instead of creating an intellectual edifice of many stories of conclusions and assumptions, any of whom might be found structurally deficient to HPB's sledgehammer as you might wield it, I will invite you to view my statement as the outcome of a long baking process, the result of which I experience as quite nutritious, delightful, commendable and so far, for me, lacking any adverse side-effects. There are some sour bites, but those were not of my making as they inhered in the ingredients themselves which I had to use. Also, most of the really important ingredients are my own experiential, pre-theoretical, Gnosis-like, transcendental mystical and meaningful absorptions into non-ordinary realms, the echoes of which are still reverberating through my being and are hard to express in theoretical constructs. And I'm not claiming here any clairvoyant or superior buddhi-manasic insight, merely my own lived experiences and the personally appropriated ideas to process them into communicable form, a process that is BTW still ongoing, as I will further tinker below.

The crux and loadstone of the matter lays in the transformational, awakening and mystical effects I experienced in engaging K's teachings at a very intense level of being serious. Especially my first time attendance at a K gathering in Saanen, Switzerland, stands out. The intrinsic power and clarity of this man was something I had never experienced nor heard of before. On top of that I had started reading "Krishnamurti's Notebook" just before arriving in Switzerland and after a few days I had similar experiences of 'otherness' 'benediction' as described in that book. And as a finale on my way out of Switzerland I read Vimala Thakar's little auto-bio, which then confirmed for me the feasibility of the radical transformation K called for. 

Though I had read some biographical writings about him before, after these experiences they became infused with the projection of my experiences and those writings acquired thereby an even greater transcendental depth as I felt I was somehow re-experiencing those historical moments with the 'spirit' which originally inhered in them. Maybe, while reading I was also tuning into the akashic record, which for me is not just only a multi-dimensional and alive 'picture', but also is charged with the pathos of the situation it depicts, to which one can also feeling-wise blend into. 

Based on these experiences and evaluations of K's own words, other people's reports and biographical research I could not escape the conclusion that it was all genuine, true, non-hallucinated, etc., including initially most if not all meta-empirical claims about K coming from CWL. "He is the One" I heard many people say in many different ways, and everytime I heard that claim made I spontaneously had to concur. Through the years many pieces started to find their own natural spot in this initially given feeling-intuition-thought complex, including the very important issue of HPB's prophecy of a coming "torch bearer of truth" (TBT) and the perception that underlying the TS was this TBT/WT project as one of its most important reasons for being. And for me the whole TBT applied and only applied, and still does apply, to the WT project. I have not found any comparable competitors, nor convincing reasons why the project might have been shelved. Later, after having had a series of transcendental experiences informing me that the WT project had actually failed, these criticisms (Scott, Anrias, Hodson, Prophet) came with further affirmations of the perception that the project really had started as something genuine. And another ten years later I condensed the whole of my understanding in two pamphlets that most of you are probably familiar with: 

The Masters and Their Emissaries and 
Krishnamurti: An Esoteric View of his Teachings 

with some of the clarifying groundwork done in:
Krishnamurti and the World Teacher Project

Now, as far as the possible effects of Daniel wielding HPB's sledgehammer the following: Even if certain more theoretical aspects of this hypothetic-deductive construct is in contradiction with something that HPB (or the Mahatmas for that matter) might have written, it is not for me an automatic given to then side with the old lady and/or the Mahatmas. I might be wrong, she might be wrong, they might be wrong, we all might be wrong. For me there is no a priori reason to give her & them the benefit of the doubt, though in many other contexts I do give her/them the benefit and derive benefit from her/them (see below). I'm not saying that I will on my side reject anything relevant she/them might bring to the table either, but it will just have to be decided case by case. 

Furthermore, Daniel, your reasoning to construe HPB as the Alpha & Omega of your own positions will have to be scrutinized and challenged as well. For example to give HPB the exalted position you give her based on the fact that she was the first one to reveal the existence of the Masters is by itself not really sufficient. The meme of 'hidden superiors' and masters with mysterious powers was already present in Rosicrucian, Masonic and literary circles. And according to HPB herself the Masters were operative within these circles, though without identifying themselves as such. So they might have left clues etc. and/or been perceived as different and superior, or taken disciples to whom they might have revealed a little more than to others. Then also, there were full-blown initiates operative in Europe according to HPB and they might have left something of a trail. Then the biggest, most public and relevant example would be the adept the Comte de St. Germain. His roaming of Europe for ca. 100 years and displaying all kinds of phenomena will have undoubtedly fed into the idea of superior beings who will at least have overlap with the characteristics of the Masters as HPB was allowed to present. And to finish, HPB gives the impression, especially in IU, that such adepts are generously strewn throughout history and left many a record about their metaphysical feats. Given that, it's not too far to see the hypothetical possibility that the way HPB presented the masters was based on her own fertile imagination using previous material as her raw ingredients and therefore there was nothing intrinsically special about her claims, or at least not special enough, and that's my point, to make the claim that based on that revelation HPB's writings gain a priority over all others. I do not know what name this fallacy would get in the arena of formal reasoning, but it would be something like concluding that a whole is truthfull because one of its parts is so. To prevent any misunderstanding, I, of course, do not think that HPB invented the Masters and that most of what we know about the Masters comes actually from their own letters. 

I'm sure you have other conclusions and assumptions about HPB that go into your construct, and I'd love to hear them, even to use them myself, after critical evaluation, to make her more relevant to others that might actually have a negative perception of her. On the other side I'd like to hear your more personal, experiential story of how you baked your own HPB cake.

  After having read your comments below directed to Morten, I will try to convey a few thoughts of my own.

  Concerning your pov on the WT project, I think the problem to be confronted or at least one of the problems to be confronted is what lead you to this thesis that "...the WT project was genuine.....".

  Your WT thesis is maybe more complex than most of your readers might view it. The way I see it is that you have erected this edifice of "thought", speculation but one must wonder on what floor of this building or edifice you are at when you say that the WT project was genuine. What underlying assumptions, previous conclusions, etc. etc. have you made by which you built this theory or speculation or conclusion? 

  Maybe you are on the 25th floor of this building but how did you get there? What are on the 24 floors below? In other words, what are the assumptions you initially accepted or made and how many previous conclusions did you make and how did you arrive at those various conclusions, what was the evidence that your accepted or rejected, etc. etc.?

  For comparison sake, we could highlight Frank R.'s differing view of all of this or what Morten might think about this and his "competing" views or Ernest Pelletier's views as given in his huge book on the Judge Case and his resulting conclusions about Annie Besant. 

  I am not suggesting your view is therefore wrong [or right] or anything about what Frank R. or Morten or Ernest advocates/believes/thinks. 

  But I only point out that all of you come to quite differing conclusions and an interested bystander might ask, how do you sort it all out? Who is right? 

  Think of it: If you are mistaken in just one of your conclusions or assumptions, the whole edifice might collapse.

  That is why I take a chrono approach to this whole matter. Begin at the beginning.... 

  Since HPB was the first person to claim contact with these particular masters, what were the claims she made about them and what is the evidence for their existence, etc., and from the earlier primary sources what can we learn about the masters, their activities, how they work, their goals, etc. etc.

  And if one accepts the reality of the Masters, based on the evidence founded on HPB's claims and life, how does one then approach any claims of the Masters AFTER HPB DIED? 

  It seems like every Tom, Dick and Jane has claimed to be in contact with her Masters and claim that they are carrying on the Master's work, etc.

  How does one sort thru all the claims, etc. etc.?

  It seems that one needs to see your thesis on the WT project within this larger context and against the competing theses and assertions of, for example, Frank R., Morten, Ernest P., and others.

  I don't have time to rework what I have just written so it is a rough first draft but maybe, just maybe I have conveyed some of what I was thinking about.....
