I find it good but a little naive and Christian - one could replace Buddha with Christ.
For most people existence is always tinged with existential angst and to reach those people one would need to appeal to their experience of life, e.g.

When I am down with eternity
My little Buddha abandons me

                                     MY LITTLE BUDDHA 

                                           Smiles at me

When I am down with eternity:
My little Buddha smiles at me
When my eyes can no longer see with fear
My little Buddha smiles at me 
When my mind has lost its concious dream
My little Buddah smiles at me when
Television becomes a personal reality
My little Buddah snmiles at me when
Reality dares to make me afraid of the very
time to be me my little Buddah smiles at
Me and sees the thousand dreames I can not
see and listens and hears the music in eternity
my little Buddah smiles at me and forces me
To grow in another eternity
