Dear Brian

My views are:

Thank you for your kind respone.

Yes Nisgardatta are very well in his thoughts, as most honest and true Adwaita Vedantists are. There are af few video on Youtube or elsewhere with him. (I believe I once saw one of the earliest ones where a flame of energy actually came out of one of his fingers.) Appearnt progress within meditation is not always real spiritiaul progress. Conviction is not fact.

To me Theos-talk is - neither - a place where all things can be solved and where I am best able to help humanity. If one only are together with those one agree with, one could of course ask one self whether one is doing anything good? (I even think the twisted Christians Gospels tell about that somewhere.) - Are there any good Catholic forums to visit instead?
:-)

Meeting people and beings in my daily life, meditations, astral travels, those happy occasional visits or materialisations by the Initaites, esp training, are quite important to little me so to be of service. I am currently translating various of H. P. Blavatskys writings into Danish (Scand.). Anyone can e-mail me privately from my website: http://home1.stofanet.dk/theos-octagon/

One of the best teachings I learned back in time was - that one aught to remember ones best momments in life. Those rare - high peaks. Those special moments of true mystery.... Because as the Initiate said, they are important to you. There was of course a reason behind you experiencing them. So I remember them quite often.

To me all the Universe is right here even if it seems to be far away.
The Divine is within us, beneath our jugular vein, within our own false-pictured Selves.
There is simply in reality no escape.

The Universe is ours, all of us. Let us do something useful with it together.
Let us stay friends, because we already are friends despite Maya.

    Dear Morten,

I very much appreciated your response to my disillusionment with this site. In the same spirit of frankness let me respond

Whilst I have been a member for many years I do not consider that I have any role to guide anyone. The more I know the more that I realise that I do not know. Like many others I have lots of beliefs that can be labelled Theosophy but my beliefs are not Theosophy. Like you I think of myself as a seeker but it seems to me that the seeking is best done by the abandonment of my cherished beliefs. HPB said that we should continuously attempt to have an attitude to all existing things which is neither love, hate nor indifference. Nosagardatta said almosthe same thing when he was asked 'what is afact?'. His response, 'a fact is an event in awareness unstained by desire or fear'.

I am an active member of a Lodge in the Australian Section. All around are members endevouring to understand the 'wisdom' that is inherent in Theosophy. The Section has been well run on an open basis for at least 50 years to my knowledge. We have little time to engage in the spiteful games that somrtimes seem to be played out on this site: eg an Anard reference to 'the satanic teachings of Krishnamurti' or the raking over the coals of alleged pressure on ES members to do this or that. Maybe it happens in other places but not in Australia in my experience.

Anyone can say anything, make any allegations about anyone, speculate about any subject without any sourcing.

At teh members meeting here on Tuesday evening a member spoke on Ramana Maharshi in our 'Religious revolutionaries of the 20th century'. It was a stimulating, mind clearing gathering - no-one teaching as a teacher, but everyone learning.

I'm grateful to the site for its vigulence in the recent international elections & the attempt to change the constitution but the attack on the honesty of Keith Fisher was among the many 'straws'.

So; I shall drop by from time to time and try to maintain the HPB attitude to each existing thing.

  sincerely

  Brian Parry

Since Pedro introduced me to the site much the same subjects keep being recycled endlessly. It is so sterotyped that if one sees the name you can almost always anticipate what is to be read. Sorry, but there are more important things in life. I will keep dipping in from time to time but without much hope
