Re: Theos-World original teaching or original cheating?

Now if H. P. Blavatsky and Olcott had agreed on writing: "To study ancient and modern CULTS, science, and philosophy", --- people would have been less interested in joining, would they not?

And we do actually not have a word expressing, that what one calls a Cult also covers the four major world religions, yes Buddhismen with its robes and caps included.

Now most people today consider Scientology a cult.
Was or is The Theosophical Society a cult and how do we define a cult?

In Mahatma Letter 10, Mahatma says "I will point out the greatest, the chief cause of nearly two thirds of the evils that pursue humanity ever since that cause became a power. It is religion under whatever form and in whatsoever nation."

Now compare it with the object set for Theosophical Society by Blavatsky "To study ancient and modern religion, science, and philosophy"

Can you see the huge contradiction?
