In addition to the points I mentioned in my message, there is another
important issue that is relevant to the TS in the USA.

While many National Sections are run exclusively by volunteers, if there are
paid workers, including the national secretary/president/officers, and the
compensation is kept secret and when a volunteer discovers the details of
the pay, volunteer may be in for a shock and wonder why one should volunteer
when one or more workers/officers are highly paid and the info is kept
secret.

The way to avoid such a backlash is simple transparency. Make the
salaries/compensation info available to all members so that anyone
volunteering is not in for a shock or surprise. Secrecy does not help.
