If The Masters and the Path had not been published, just think of all the

laughter we would have missed.

In the recent book Ross' Book - Krotona Vol IV, there are some interesting

revelations.

It appears that A P Sinnett promised to leave the Mahatma Letters

collection

to Besant to be kept in the Adyar Archives, most likely the ES Archives.

CWL

felt that the letters should not have been published since that was what

was

mentioned in the ML.

Since the Letters went in the estate of APS they got published and many

many

were benefitted by the letters. I think it was the good fortune of TS and

its members that the invaluable letters were published and thus helped

members and continues to do so.

The other interesting revelation was that when the book Masters and the

Path

was in manuscript stage, CJ felt that it should be put in the trash can.

But

it was later published and many enjoyed what was in it even though there

were critics.

I think Ross has done a very invaluable service in publishing some of the

facts which in the normal course would have been hidden from members or

lost

for ever. The book is a feast for anyone interested in theosophical history

even though those toeing organizational line may not like its publication.

I

do not think theosophical book stores carry it.
