Ok, just for your information....

Lectures and topic-presenting are not going to cut it. Period. This is the Theosophical Society, one of the most influential, far reaching and mysterious of all Occult organizations. Countless dusty tomes have been produced by it and about it, with that spooky snake seal and a penchant for abbreviations and initials. And you're going to "treat" seekers and guests to "dynamic and vibrant lecture[s]" and "engaging and interesting topics"?? Was The Lady Herself really THAT boring? What is this, Unity Church (yawn)? Marianne Williamson (yawn)? Eckhart Tolle (Zzzzz)? Really? Wow. How about you give Oprah a call, and you can "remember your spirit" for a couple of hours on a Tuesday night, sigh and smile, and go home. Where's the style and panache and the twinkle of the eye that won over some great minds and gained the admiration of a great many others?
You've gotta be kidding me. I'm all for interesting topics--of DISCUSSION--but what is the heart and soul of Theosophy? What happened all those years ago, what experience did HPB and her friends have, and how are you still transmitting that to future generations? Nothing else matters if you aren't doing that in EVERYTHING you do, and I am incredulous that lectures can do that sufficiently. You're not just nice, thoughtful people with a intellectual interest in the arcane, you're Theosophists!
