Impossible.  If they had been today's Theosophists the Christians  would 
not have had a chance because they would have been either bored to death,  
laughed themselves to death, or died from being scalded by the hot air 
emanating  from the students.

Since 1500 years ago, the  famous theosophical school was in Alexandria and
ended with the death of  Hypatia, the author of the writeup brings up the
possibility that many  students there may be today's theosophists.
