TheosoFEST 2010

Why TSA is trying to recruit Co-masons?

TSA is having a TheosoFEST 2010 - Body, Mind and Spirit - on 9/11 at Olcott.

The topics listed in the flyer are:

Meditation
Science
Healing
Astrology
Tarot
Masters
Labyrinth
Theosophy
Co-masonry

As everyone knows, the budget at TSA is tight due to bad economic conditions
and members get solicitations for money from the National Center and many
members try to help.

What is surprising is the inclusion of Co-masonry as a topic in the program.

It looks like your and my money is being spent to recruit membership into
Co-masonry (Adyar group) which is supposed to be an organization totally
independent of TS even though most leaders and others occupying top
positions in TS also hold top positions and degrees in Co-masonry. We have
also seen some of the TS leaders trying to impress members by displaying how
high a degree they hold in the Co-masonry which has nothing to do with TS or
theosophy. (Read Mahatma Letters and you find no mention of Masonry in
connection with theosophy or TS.)

Should not TSA concentrate on broadcasting theosophy and try to enroll
members in TS which are the primary goals of TS.

At a time when the growth of membership is in a sad state and lodges are
being closed (anything heard about the litigation in closing Orlando
Lodge?), should TSA not concentrate on theosophy and TS rather than trying
to recruit members for Co-masonry?
