Dear Doss,

Unfortunately the same strategy of secrecy keeps going on.

It is a pity that members must learn through the Editorial of the international
President that some council members, made such a request.

The leaders of some Sections, forget that they have a seat in the International
council, only because they were elected by members of their Sections ., and as
such, they should respect their members andat least inform them about their
actions.

I see such attitude as extremely arrogant and elitist.

Erica

Glad to see the Watch Tower article. It is good that Radhaji dealt with the
letters she received regarding the VP and additional members head on. It is
a pity that those who wrote the letter did not consider it necessary to keep
their dues paying members informed. It would be very easy in today's
Internet world. Even theos-talk would have published it free of cost to any
one!

This, I suppose is typical of the way we are all treated by the leaders. How
can we forget how without telling any of the members an attempt was made to
disenfranchise all of us.

In the opinion of many members, this did more damage to the credibility of
the leaders and alerted the members to be vigilant because leaders may be
misguided and make decisions not in the interests of theosophy or
theosophical society and yet do not see it.

I recall the comment made by one of the Adepts, when the London Lodge
complained the lack of progress, it was pointed out that it was all the
result of the actions and attitude of its members. When so much energy is
devoted to the electioneering, GC meetings etc. the continuing drop in
membership outside India should not be a surprise to anyone.

Let us keep tuned in. Courtesy of Internet, we will know what is going on
behind the scenes.
