I'll explain why I'm questioning the motives. For a long time many other theosophical societies existed which held Judge line. And there were almost no voices for revision of the Judge case. Each followed his own line. But when those societies waned (even if compared with TS Adyar, which loses members too, but still remains the only significant theosophical organization), the campaign began. It's not impossible that some judgists see their last resort for saving their line in changing the character of the Theosophical Society. Of course, the majority of the campaingers may act quite sincerely without any such motives.
