Re: theos-talk More Thoughts on Orlando Lodge developments

Good Point. I posted the (number 46) "Theosophy Today" from Orlando. I am still searching for what is referred to as:

"a renegade lodge functioning within our midst, falsely
representing the Society and its principles."

when I see the words:
" it has major implications for all Sections now facing the
possibility of the International President countermanding their disciplinary
decisions."

I have to admit that a certified, by 3 Physicians, mentally and physically able-bodied International President appears very reassuring now.

So:
1) the TSA attacked the International President running for office. That is not a respected action.

2) The TSA has attacked a credible Lodge of members freely donating their time for Theosophy. That is not a respected action.
(no one Knows why Orlando is NOT credible!)

And, to top it off, The front page of The Messenger (April 2011) has a lead article to be sure to Vote. The reason given is that voting is

"a way of expressing commitment to the Society, as well as
showing respect to those who have volunteered their
time to manage the affairs of the Society over the next
three years."

Respect? That is a two-way street. It requires two-way communication. Each side earns respect from the other. Note: items 1) and 2) above.

I would suggest the following: EARN our respect before we vote. Explain the "secret issues" and specify what actions and events are/went wrong with Orlando Lodge. What was said to Radha about Orlando in Adyar??

No Truth, then No Vote.
Explain to Radha why you have been elected by 20% (10%?) of the TSA members, and yet still have 100% of the votes.
Remember: a "No Vote" is still a "No" Vote.

(lighter-side..)
I also seem to have missed the "request" to send in nominations for candidates ..
I am not sure when they sent it. That is an issue members need to work on.
Actually, I do not care if the person is dead. Nominate them. I will have something to 'choose'. The one alive after the election can get the seat.

Peace
