Eldon Tucker, posted the following on The Theosophical Network

Iâve just heard that Vonda Urban, a well-known Theosophist in Chicago, died
at 8:30 pm yesterday. Dara Eklund says,

âHer nieces and her students (known as her âUrchinsâ) were there to help her
through her last few weeks at home. Tex, who lived downstairs, cared for her
like his own mother, and was part of the Pont Loma Study Group she held in
her apartment up to her last weeks at home.

âHer friends and students held a living memorial for her last Sunday.
Although Vonda was too weak to party, a few students at a time came up from
Texâs place to speak their farewells. It seemed to revive her, and when I
spoke to Vonda this past Tuesday morning, her mind was clear and cheerful.
There seemed little pain involved in her passing. What a blessing her life
has been to all!â
