This should remind all theosophists that they should seek ways to work for
the welfare of our fellow men and women and not be just arm chair
occultists. Olcott was one of the very few men who had interacted with many
Adepts and I am sure he was fully aware of the need for action in the
practical application of theosophy. It is a pity we do not see such actions
from current day theosophical leaders. May be it is one of the reasons why
there is a steady decline in the membership around the world in spite of
various sections having a lot of money in the bank.
