White Lotus Day - May 8 - H P Blavatsky Remembered

May 07, 2012 10:57 PM
by MKR

Every year, many lodges and branches around the world celebrate May 8 as
the White Lotus Day to recall the day H P Blavatsky died. You and I are
talking about theosophy and Theosophical Society because she was
responsible to present Ancient Wisdom in modern times. The lives of many
many men and women who have been exposed to her writings have changed for
the better. She did not want to be worshiped. What she wanted was to use
the information she presented so that our lives can be transformed for the
better thus affecting everyone we come into contact with in our daily lives.

On this day, traditionally poor are fed around the world. There is too much
talk about and discussion about the unseen world, hidden forces of Nature
and what an how meditation techniques work. The fact that HPB wanted us to
remember her and feed the poor on this day, should open up the inquiry into
the relative importance of what we can do to our brothers and sisters
compared to all the spiritual techniques and discussion about the nitty
gritty of the unseen world.

HPB sacrificed prime of her life so that you and me can benefit from the
knowledge she brought forth. On this day, let us remember her sacrifices
and feel our gratitude from our hearts.
