Re: theos-talk Slowing down metabolic rate

It may be recalled that, years ago, Geoffrey Hodson along with the students
who attended his session at the school of wisdom visited with late
Sankaracharya in Congeevaram near Chennai. It is believed the heads of
Sankara Mutts are Initiates. Hodson inquired about the Great Adept Agastya
who is believed to live in South India.

Sankaracharya commented that the Adept has moved to Himalayas and his body
is not the same. I guess the Adepts may know the technique to bring about
changes to the body to greatly slow the metabolic rate. Also, their living
far away from civilization might be necessary for slow metabolic process to
work. I also recall a comment that urban life with all the conflicts and
bad vibration tend to wear out the physical body. Looks like a lot of
things we do not know.
