The Philosophy of
Theosophy

The Theosophical Philosophy talks about
a âPathâ, which is obligatory for every living being. The Angelic kingdom
(Deva) is no exception. The path is trodden by each individual with
understanding. Life descending into forms is termed as Involution and its
re-ascent, casting aside the forms, is Evolution, ultimately resulting in
âliberationâ. While the path is obligatory, there cannot be a definite and well
designed âwayâ as such. The terms are to be understood in their abstract (arupa) level and not at the concretized
(anthropomorphic) stage. It may appear to be vague and too much imaginative but
experience in life makes one believe the certainty of the path.

The humanity has been traveling on the
path for billions of years, and on the earth globe it has a sequence of several
chains and rounds. We belong to an Earth globe and life passes from this globe
to other globes according to a well-designed plan. Earth getting totally
âdivinizedâ and the matter ultimately returning to Spirit is the Order.

The Life has traveled through the
elemental, mineral, vegetable and animal kingdoms and is running through human
kingdom, the lower kingdoms too co-existing. Life energized by the Divine
Monadic Essence results in Individualization The Theosophical Philosophy talks

The Life has traveled through the
elemental, mineral, vegetable and animal kingdoms and is running through human
kingdom, the lower kingdoms too co-existing. Life energized by the Divine
Monadic Essence results in Individualization which is the beginning of the
human journey. The individual as he passes through the life gradually gets
impulses of higher aspirations and ultimately desires to sit at the feet, lap
and face to face in association with the Great Ones. The Great Ones stand in
the position of Trustees and Guardians for the perennial Wisdom, which humanity
has also to obtain in the course of the journey. Manushyatwam, Mumukshatwam and Mahapurushasamsrayam are the three
terms employed by Shankara in his Vivekachudamani,
a Sanatana-text on Dharma, also known as The Crest Jewel of Wisdom in its English version. All the
aspiration and the travels spent in fulfillment â is the obligatory journey we
had referred to earlier. One may live without knowing anything about the Path,
sometimes even ridiculing the very thought as vague and absurd, but Theosophy
suggests that it is always advisable to know the Path and to lead life in
accordance with those terms and conditions. There is always an advantage of conscious
living with understanding, compared to the unconscious living in gloom and
ignorance. That the Life has a meaning and purpose, and its âunderstandingâ is
the Key-point here.
