Re: theos-talk War and Peace

Your msg was very timely. Many are hopeful that we are moving towards an
era peace around the world. Modern technology make the world watch in real
time happenings anywhere. Already there is talk that the financial crisis
in the West is going to prevent countries expanding their traditional
military. A world wide ban on illegal arms trade which contributes to wars
around the world could have come to fruition but for some countries wanting
more time to consider the treaty. Looks like there is a slow awareness of
the fact that we are all connected. I am reminded of the comment Maha
Chohan made more than a century:

âIn view of the ever increasing triumph and at the same time misuse of
free-thought and liberty (the Universal reign of Satan, Eliphas Levi would
have called it), how is the combative natural instinct of man to be
restrained from inflicting hitherto unheard of cruelties and enormities,
tyranny, injustice, etc., if not through the soothing influence of a
brotherhood and of the practical application of Buddha's esoteric
doctrines.â

Brotherhood is the panacea for the suffering all of us go through.
