It could well be Taylor. But I have not read all he wrote either. That is
a mountain of work he did. They said he showed greater intuition than
Jowett.

Thanks for your comments, as always. BTW, in regard to the topic thread 
about "Perennial Wisdom" term and where Wilder got it, for some reason what
pops 
up multiple times in my mind is the name Thomas Taylor who I have not read 
for decades.
